Duty to inform according to Art. 45 VAG
Initial situation
As an insurance broker, we have been subject to state supervision since January 1, 2006. This is based on the Insurance Supervision Act (ISA) and contains, among other things, precisely defined information obligations.
This document contains the information to be declared according to VAG 45. It is also published on our Internet platform, along with much other information.
Identity and registration
Alpina Broker GmbH is an independent insurance broker and focuses on SMEs and well-off private clients. The owner has stood for professional competence and solid partnership in all insurance matters for over 35 years and has been operating as a limited liability company since 2003. The company is owned by the von Ow family.
We are registered under Alpina Broker GmbH (Reg.-Nr. 23540) as well as under the name Sven von Ow (Reg.-Nr. 23543) and the name Kim Naomi von Ow (Reg.-Nr. 30982) in the public register of the Financial Market Authority (www.finma.ch).
Offer
Our offering for mandate clients covers all lines of insurance with the exception of reinsurance.
Contractual relationships with insurance companies
We cooperate with all well-known insurance companies as well as selected collective foundations and financial institutions. There are no production obligations and no exclusive contracts. We are therefore unbound and independent in our choice of provider.
Business model
We are usually compensated by so-called brokerage fees from insurers and pension funds. These are pro rata remunerations as a percentage of the premiums paid. In the area of life and health insurance, we receive acquisition commissions, and in the investment business (pension accounts 3a as well as vested benefits accounts and mortgages) we receive commissions.

Liability
Alpina broker gmbh is liable for errors, negligence or incorrect information in connection with our brokerage activities. There is a professional liability insurance with a guarantee sum of CHF 2'000'000.-- for financial, personal and property damages.
